March 10, 2022 - GLOBO has announced a partnership with OMNIA Partners, Public Sector. The partnership will enable public agencies and educational institutions that are contracted with OMNIA Partners to leverage GLOBO’s innovative language solutions to communicate with the U.S.’s Limited English Proficient (LEP) population. The partnership expands GLOBO’s ability to improve language access for government and educational institutions.

More than 66.5 million Americans speak a language other than English at home. Of that population, about 25 million are considered limited English proficient, which is defined as the limited ability to speak, write, read, or understand English. Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 states that entities or programs that receive Federal financial assistance must make programs accessible to people with limited-English proficiency — this means ensuring interpretation or translation is available as needed to ensure equal access to healthcare and other vital services.
