I answered the call and got the "We're sorry, an application error has occurred. Good-bye" message and the call disconnected

No worries, we’ve got you! This can happen due to a network glitch while trying to connect you to the client.

The “application” refers to the channel or bridge that connects you with the client. If this happens once and in an isolated way it may be a one time glitch. Please do not report if this happens rarely or once.
